As we look at the word REPENTANCE we must truly understand what it is. The Greek word used for repentance is Metanoia which means to have another mind. In this context of repentance, forgiveness accountability, justice and reconciliation may be possible. The batterer must embrace the spirit of metanoia and get themselves a new heart and a new spirit! ... So turn and live EZK18:31-32)-RSVLikewise the abused must learn to love again starting with God first then love for themselves which will enable them to be more mindful of how they are treated and respected as an human being a good scripture to meditate on: Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thy own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path "
