Positive Controversy was created to spearhead an innovative movement in the areas of marketing, media and music to enhance non-profit services and
programming. Our goal is to develop motivational campaigns, engaging humanity with a message of hope, initiative and social awareness.
Through our community activism we have received national attention from influential people such as John Tesh, Taraji P. Henson, Steve Harvey, Drew Sidora, and the Miss America organization to name a few.
Our organization reaches out to at risk youth, survivors and advocates to educate them on the issue's that plague their communities. In January 2010, we
launched a nationwide campaign against domestic violence entitled, ‘Wake Up!’ . We produced an anti domestic violence music video to assist us in our efforts to reach a larger audience.
This video is being used as a weapon to fight against domestic violence via social media.
PC reaches out to the community through live performances and public awareness programs, and on October 15 2010 we met with the Maryland Department of Education to present our program for use in schools. Positive Controversy aims to reach all Americans with its message.
In Jan 2010, PC lobbied with Congress members in Virginia to raise money to support children of domestic violence. Whether its an event at the boys and girls club with Envizionit, lobbying on capital hill with the Courage Network, or assisting in anti -domestic violence rallies with the Samaritan House, we're always willing to make an impact.
We're currently in the process of establishing a programed geared towards educating young men on the effects of domestic violence and how to practice early prevention.
Our program covers teen dating violence, domestic violence and discovering your purpose.
